Mold Remediation
Mold remediation is a critical process designed to eliminate and prevent the growth of mold in indoor environments. Mold is a type of fungus that can develop in damp, humid, or moisture-prone areas, and it can pose serious health risks to occupants of affected spaces. Those individuals with allergies, asthma, or compromised immune systems especially need mold cleanup. Proper mold remediation is essential for the well-being of family members.
We start our remediation process by identifying and assessing the extent of the mold contamination. This often involves an air quality test which helps to identify the types of mold present and the degree of the problem. Often we are also able to help identify the source of the moisture. Once we have determined the extent of the mold problem, containment measures are put in place to prevent the spread of mold spores to unaffected areas. This typically involves sealing off the contaminated area and creating a negative airspace, ensuring that mold spores are not released into the rest of the building. We then proceed to remove moldy porous materials and treat moldy non-porous materials with an antimicrobial treatment. Finally we fog the treated area and often the whole home with an antimicrobial fog.

At High Plains Restoration we’ll perform a final inspection to confirm that the mold has been successfully removed and that the affected area is safe for occupancy. Additionally, addressing mold promptly helps prevent its spread and potential structural damage to your property, safeguarding both your health and your investment.
