Answers to the Questions We Hear Most

Straight, honest answers about how we work, what things cost, and what to expect. If yours is not here, just call. We are happy to talk it through, no pressure.

The Basics

  • Yes. Damage does not keep business hours, so neither do we. Call any time, day or night, and a real person answers, not a call center or an answering machine.

  • No. Every estimate is free, honest, and no-pressure. We will tell you what we find and what it actually takes to fix it, with no obligation to move forward.

  • We are. High Plains Restoration is owner-operated by Maddison Cordova and her family. The people who answer your call are the same people doing the work, and we treat your home like our own.

  • Yes. We are IICRC certified for water, mold, smoke, and odor restoration, and our biohazard work follows OSHA and bloodborne-pathogen standards using EPA-registered disinfectants.

  • We cover 16 counties across the Front Range and the eastern plains, from Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins down to Colorado Springs. We do not put hard limits on our service area, so if you are in Colorado, call and ask.

Insurance and Payment

  • Yes. Unexpected damage should not have to wait on a budget, so we offer financing that lets you act now and pay over time. Ask us about your options when we talk.

  • We take 10% off for veterans and first responders, including police, fire, and EMS. It is a small thank-you to the people who show up for the rest of us.

  • Often, yes, when the damage is sudden and accidental, like a burst pipe or a failed appliance. Gradual leaks and long-term neglect are usually not covered. Every policy is different, so we help document the loss properly and work for you, not the insurance company.

  • We do. We document the damage thoroughly, communicate clearly, and help you through the claims side so you are not navigating it alone. Our loyalty is to you, the customer.

  • Cleanup after a trauma or crime scene is typically the property owner's responsibility once law enforcement releases the scene, not the city's or the police department's. Homeowners insurance sometimes covers it, and we help you understand your options before any work begins.

Water, Mold, and Damage

  • Fast. Water spreads and soaks into everything it touches, so we move quickly to extract it and start drying before it turns into a bigger, more expensive problem. Call us the moment you notice it.

  • Stay safe first. If it is safe to do so, stop the water at the source and keep clear of any electrical hazards. Then call us. We will walk you through the next steps on the phone and get a crew moving.

  • Yes. We assess and test first, show you what we actually find, and then contain and remove it the right way. No scare tactics, no guessing, just an honest plan to protect your health and your home.

Hoarding and Sensitive Cleanups

  • Completely. What we see stays between us and you, and we can arrive in unmarked vehicles any time you ask. Your privacy is part of the job, not an afterthought.

  • Never without you. We sort carefully and set aside valuables, documents, photos, and anything that matters to you. Nothing you want to keep leaves the home, and you stay in control of every decision.

  • Gently, and with support. Pushing or clearing things out behind their back usually backfires. We are used to working alongside families and case managers at a pace the person can handle. Call us and we will talk through the best way to approach it.

  • Once law enforcement and the coroner have released the scene, we can begin. We handle the cleanup and decontamination afterward with discretion and respect, so the family does not have to face it.
