What is Hoarding Disorder?
Hoarding disorder is an ongoing difficulty throwing away or parting with possessions to the point where it interferes with a person’s quality of life and safety within their living environment. Not all situations involving hoarding are the same, and researchers have developed a scale to measure the five levels of intensity with regard to hoarding.
Level 1: The Least Severe Level with Few Indicators
Level 2: Noticeable Object Collection and Embarrassment with Visitors
Level 3: Odors, Poor Hygiene, and Narrowed Hallways
Level 4: Structural Damage, Sewage Issues, and Unusable Rooms
Level 5: Fire Hazards, No Electricity or Running Water and Accumulated Human Feces

We had High Plains Restoration come out to do a deep clean of our house following the Covid pandemic when we’d not had a cleaning service for a couple of years. We were really pleased with the attention to detail and time spent on way more than you’d expect from a regular cleaning, especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. The team were great! They were very polite and worked hard during the time they were here. They were able to get way up high to clean the corners of our high ceilings, and light fixtures, and dusted and wiped down every surface in our house. We asked them to clean out and wipe down the pantry and cupboards which they were happy to do. We were so please with this special deep clean and the products they used that we’ve had them come back out several times to do regular house-cleaning and have been very satisfied with the result. I’d highly recommend High Plains Restoration for house or office cleaning and because they know how to approach major damage and restoration requirements, they have the best tools and products for “ordinary” cleaning.
